Greer students from all grades participated in the mathathon.

C. B. Greer Takes Action for St. Jude Hospital

C. B. Greer students have finished their Math-a-thon for the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital with a flourish! Surpassing their results from previous years, students raised $5,042.54 by completing math problems that sponsors supported with generous contributions.

While some students used the traditional St. Jude math workbooks, others completed the math problems online. Local companies even provided matching contributions. Parents, teachers, and supporters motivated the students to complete more and more problems by promising donations that C. B. Greer could submit to St. Jude. The mission of the hospital -- to treat pediatric cancer patients and pursue research into cancer treatments and cures -- obviously impressed Greer's caring students and supporters.

Behind the scenes, kindergarten teacher Ivey Parker and her committee made sure the action project went smoothly. Thank you to all!
