Special Ed seeks input from private and home school parents
The Glynn County Schools special education department will hold a meeting for parents and guardians of students with disabilities who attend private or home school on Friday, June 15 at 9:30 a.m. in the conference room of the District Learning Center at 2301 Stonewall Street in Brunswick.
The school system utilizes federal funding to provide services for students with disabilities who attend private or home school programs. “In the past, the proportionate share of these funds has been used to provide speech and language services,” said Carol Geiken, director of special education for the Glynn County School System. “The meeting on June 15 will help us determine how our community chooses to continue to provide services for these students and their families. We encourage parents to attend and provide suggestions and input.”
For more information and to confirm attendance at the meeting, call the Glynn County Schools special education department at 267-4100, ext. 1127.
