Parent Survey for SACS!!
Parents,
There was a slight "glitch" in the administration of our online
parent survey. As much as I regret having to ask, if you would be so kind to
repeat the online survey for us in order for us to have your feedback, it would
be greatly appreciated by all of us here at SSE.
If you have completed or want to complete a paper survey, that is still okay.
You do not have to repeat this one. We will continue to send out paper surveys
to those who prefer this. The new information regarding the online survey is

Students in grades 1-2 who earned 10 or more AR points and students in grades 3-5 who earned 15 or more AR points were invited to the celebration. All students had to maintain an 80% average or higher also. After the students enjoyed the celebration, teachers and staff got to have a yogurt too!

Local business eases pump pain, supports schools with new program
Even though
gas prices have fallen over the last two months, with a current national
average of $3.52 for a gallon of regular gas, a trip to the pump can still be a
painful experience for the average consumer. One local business has created a program that not only eases the pain of
filling up the tank, but also helps cash-strapped schools at the same time.
The Parker
Companies, headquartered in Glynn County, recently launched its new Pump Perks
program that enables participants to purchase gas at a discounted price at any
of the company’s 11 stores in Glynn, McIntosh, Appling an...

Paul Revere, Benedict Arnold, and others gallop into fourth grade
Benedict Arnold, pictured here, along with Paul Revere and others, visited all fourth grade students on April 18, bringing alive their studies in the IB unit, "How We Express Ourselves." Thanks to local history buffs/re-enactors, students enjoyed stories of that fateful 18th day of April in 1775, when Paul Revere and his horse rode into the history books.
Having already taken a careful look at Georgia social studies standards concerning the American Revolution, students became even more knowledgeable as they listened to these accounts of history in the making. We appreciate the sup...
