Ms. Kathryn Cochran, St. Simons Elementary Teacher of the Year, has demonstrated over many years that she has the ability and desire to challenge all students to a high degree of excellence. Kathryn continually strives for improvement seeking new ideas that will motivate and encourage her students. On a daily basis she maintains high expectations and settles for nothing less. Most importantly, Kathryn Cochran strives to know each student personally and develops positive relationships with each one. She models for students the valued character traits we teach to our students during the elementary years. Ms. Cochran is a “favorite” among our students and staff, both past and present, at St. Simons Elementary.
