Cool Shark 5K & Dorsal Fin Dash

January 25, 2014 - a successful race day!

               7th Annual C. B. Greer
Cool Shark 5K
Dorsal Fin Dash

On a cool January morning, determined runners and walkers completed the 5k and Dorsal Fin Dash courses with enthusiasm. Many thanks to our race organizers.

The Cool Shark 5k race began at 9:30 a.m., and the Dorsal Fin Dash was at 8:45 a.m. (please note new, earlier time for Dorsal Fin Dash).  Both races started and finished at C. B. Greer Elementary.

The Cool Shark 5k is a USATF (USA Track and Field) certified course, and we welcomed many participants from outside our community.

Entry fees are listed on the Information Flyer (first link below).

As usual, the safety of our participants was first and foremost. The 1/2 mile Dorsal Fin Dash race course is on school property, so parents watched their children from start to finish. The Cool Shark 5k welcomes walkers and partiticipants with strollers. Sorry, no dogs, skateboards, bicycles, or roller blades in either race.
