Welcome to the Glynn Academy Athletics web site. The Red Terrors have a rich history of excellence in academics and athletics. Glynn Academy is the second oldest high school in the State of Georgia dating back to 1788 and has fielded sports teams as early as 1909. Our former student athletes have won many region and state championships. Some well known Red Terrors include: PGA Pro Davis Love III, MLB player Adam Wainwright, and NBA player Kwame Brown. Glynn County Schools Alumni in the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame include: NFL player George Rose, UGA football and track star Vassa Cate, NFL player Lamar “Racehorse” Davis, National Skeet Shooting Champion Fred Missildine, and Morris Brown football and track standout Milton Byard.
Our coaches have set lofty goals for the present Red Terrors this year. As they work to achieve these goals, many life time skills will be developed during their seasons. Glynn Academy student athletes will learn about a dedication to excellence as they strive to obtain team goals. Self- discipline and character will be developed. Responsibility and cooperation will become tools for success in their future.
I look forward to the competition on the fields and courts. Thank you to all the alumni, parents, and fans that support the Red and White. Go Terrors!
